If I got a DS should I get this game?
Also would this game last me for a long time and can I get any opinions on the game?

Its an amazing game. I'd say if you do all the side quests, maxed everyones level the game will probably last you 50-60 hours.

they ruined it from the original ff4.
final boss is now a real space pirate -.-

I disagree full-heartidly. The only changes were pretty much for the better, IMO.

they fucked it and made it more kid friendly thats what i dislike about Nintendo always making games more kid friendly: /
