Can they all be played on the Wii? Are there any restrictions?

No restrictions at all, they all work. You will need a gamecube controller and gamecube memory card though.

Where is the best place to buy controllers/memory cards/games for the Gamecube? Gamestop?

btw, should I just buy one of those Gamecube controllers that was made for the Wii system or one of the old ones that was actually made for the Gamecube system?
