With your Micro SD card plugged into your pc (via the adapter they provide) you go: My Computer > Removable Disk > right click > format > File system > FAT32

I dont think you have to. My sdcard is always on FAT and it works fine.

Correct, the FAT (FAT16) filesystem can only address 2gigs of space. So a FAT16 formatted 4 gig card would only show as 2 gigs.

For an OS to use all 4 gigs, it'd have to be formatted FAT32.

yo guys im confussed

Quick Guide
Format the microSD with the Panasonic formatter.
Download the current version of AKAIO
Follow in install guide below: Put the _aio folder and akmenu4.nds in the ROOT of your microSD card
Insert the microSD card firmly in a non-spring loaded (new shell) ak2.1 and ak2i. If your MSD slot is spring loaded make sure it "clicks."
Insert the Acekard firmly into your NDS, again make sure it clicks.
Boot up the NDS, select the Acekard from the firmware Slot-1 selection box, and enjoy

supposibly this is what i do to set it up but couple things

i have to reformat it to fat32 first then do this or after?
secondly do i need panasonic formatter?
