Tales 1 was great overall. I actually have no complaints about it.

Tales 2 on the other hand was shorter and I didn't like the taming monster system.
What I did like was the multiple endings and the good follow-up story line.

Taming monsters was a neat add, but they didn't do enough to elaborate on the story IMO.

Loved both games, but looking back and first game released, it was farr better, by a long shot. The storyline instantly grabbed you. DoaNW didn't do that. You had to play up until where you go into the Luin Cave with Richter, then it gets interesting. Other than that I have no complaints. I enjoyed the monster taming system.

The first tales of symphonia had far more side quests, and kept you busy. So much to do in that game. This one is just... eh.. 7/10 for the new release, 9/10 for the first game. Would have been easy 10 if they didn't run out of budget. smile.gif

I didn't find any side quests to do on the 2nd one. Of course theres always the battle arena but that gets boring >_> I'd rather play the first one all the way through again but I can't cuz my friend has it sad.gif What side quests are there in the 2nd one?
