I got a Wii just yesterday and Brawl...

Well, I tried the online thing, and I have a router that I say is pretty decent (wireless) and a decent internet connection. Holy HELL is it LAGGGYYY..

Yeah, I hate this wirelessly connecting thing; everyone knows wireless connections make it slower..

Is there ANY possible way to hardwire it?

Or perhaps a way to fix the lag?

I wouldn't mind wireless as long as there wasn't a 5 second long reaction time between me pressing the button and my character doing something....

Sounds like a personal problem your having. It would be best to make sure you are not using the computer at the same time or anyone else in the house is torrenting/downloading etc..

You could always use a USB-Ethernet from your router to your Wii.

Really. Where would I get one of these USB-Ethernet things. I'd like to connect it from my router to my wii directly.

You can buy them at a general PC hardware store, my router actually came with one.
