I bought Metroid Hunters with it. Not a bad game but it gets very repetitive.. I'm getting Pokemon Diamond today after school, what are some other good games for it that have 10-20+ hours of gameplay?

And what about online trades?
I see topics here in which you can trade pokemon, can you really do this over your DS? and I know it would include a Wi-fi connection, does this cost money to buy a cartridge for it? or is it all free?

You should order a R4/M3 ($32-$45) online now, so you don't have to buy any more games. To go on wifi you need a nintendo wifi connector, but they stop making these now, I still see some laying around tho, otherwise you need to set up your router. Once you get wifi working, its free to go on whenever and trading pokemon here is legal.

What is a R4/M3 and what does it do?

Its a SD card that has a micro sd card slot. It lets you run homebrew and rom on the DS. Just put the files and roms in the mirco sd > R4/M3 > DS > play downloaded games.
