Recently I heard a few people are attempting to recreate Chrono Trigger with 3D graphics while keeping the exact gameplay the same. I believe this would be great for the game since I loved it when it was only for the SNES but at the same time it could take away the classic 2D edge.

Chrono Trigger was a great rpg in my opinion. I think that'd be sweet if they did remake it.
I think I'll put that on my "roms to put on my DS" list. what was Chrono Cross anyways? I never knew the difference, just that I played Trigger and not Cross.

OMFG Chrono Cross was one of the finest games for the PS. I LOVED that game

Chrono Cross is the sequel to Chrono Trigger for those who were wondering.

According to Hironobu Sakaguchi, there's no plan YET for another Chrono Trigger title but mentioned that Square Enix's new title (Blue Dragon) was like an extension of Chrono Trigger.

Square Enix's Vice-President also said that while there was no plan yet for another Chrono Trigger sequel, there could be one in the next couple of years.

Holy fuck you're a little late on this. Anyway, production was halted on Chrono Resurrection due to legality issues.

For those who think that Chrono Trigger was only for the NES, google it and see what it says.
It was released to America on the SNES and it also appeared on the Playstation in Final Fantasy Chronicles.

I really loved Trigger and Cross, I really do hope to see a good sequel to these games. I just beat Cross again about a month ago
