Well capcom gave more info on the insect staff

You can extract things from monsters of which are 1 of 4 different colours depending on monster and where it got hit and they provide a buff based on the colour
these colours can be mix in a double or triple up to provide better buffs (like earplugs)
The insect for the staff has its own set of stats and element and can at certain points be changed to another type of bug

Insect Staff sounds pretty neat (also reminds me of hunting horn a bit)

I'll prob stick my main 3 atm SA, LS, DS, of which i've been using SA more lately cause of the burst
and try out the IS and CA see if I like them (could imagine me sticking with them both)
also gonna go with bows for dealing with basarios and gravios + i'm kinda liking bows in 3U

side note i decided to try out the bowing abby lagi method and got a decent bit of practice bowing underwater cause of it xD
his lightning shot isn't too strong (at least with 23 lightning res and 366 def), but his other physical attacks are

now i just to farm the shit out of abby lagi so i can make the gunner and blademaster sets

also the new Dire Miralis event is tough
his parts are hard to break and he seems to hit harder and i think rages more
was kinda annoying it just came out cause just wanted to farm him for hellwings and like 95% of them were event quest rooms

the time it took to find shit and kill monsters is way more on those games
the ps2 ones were horrid
