I hate how sometimes you can't get your shit back even after kicking the cat's ass. I just started really playing this game the other day. I absolutely love it. I think within a months time, I'll be playing it more than any other game xD

Yea, that's how it was for me. I didn't start playing it really until a few weeks ago. Let me know if you start online, I'm still playing single, only HR2 online, Let me know what's up though.

Use a fire or water weapon. I prefer to use any weapon that can block on him, especially those with longer reach (GS, lance, etc.)

Ahhh Barroth, the first real challenge in the game. I'd suggest a Royal Ludroth weapon of whatever you're maining, since they're easy to make and it'll do the most damage while he has the mud armor on, which is when you'll want to do the most damage so you can get it off as fast as you can, as it'll get rid of his mud/snow status attacks.

Other than that, just pay really hardcore attention to his tells -tells are what he does just before he does certain attacks, used to know which attack is coming, thus how to avoid it-, this is the point where you REALLY want to learn what they're about to do when you see certain tells, and where is easiest to sit and attacks. It also doesn't hurt to watch a couple YouTube tuts on him. :p

I took Barroth out on my first try with Plume flint, was a fun fight. Playin' this game and beating these crazy huge monsters makes you feel like you've accomplished something once you've dropped them, hahaha.

Now I'll probably go for full barroth set. Don't really want to get Bnahambra, would have to poison them all, and meh...
Not sure what to decorate armor with, or what new hammer to get...

Don't waste too much time obtaining LR Armor Sets, they are obsolete once you get into HR Quests.

Is there anything you suggest me to get and stick with until I reach HR quests? When do I start HR? This is the only MH i've played, so not too much experience :X

HR 31 is when you become a HR, NightTrain@jsp suggested I tried to get LR Ingot Set which worked out well during that period of LR to HR transision. It enables you to farm HR Rathian/Rathalos fiarly well due to Wind Resist High which is a huge bonus vs those Monsters. My First HR Armor Set was Ingot+ cause I couldn't find 1 more Rathian Plate for the longest time to finish Rathian+ Set-so Ingot is my suggestion.

I'm not playing online yet though, I've only got to HR2 online, and I'm on 3*** missions for offline.
