Just do the high rank roll the uroktor quest deliver the powder stone first for the extra zenni and xp then mine until time runs out. The mining nodes in area 5 respawn evey 3 to 5 minutes.

This is generally the easiest way to farm high level armor spheres/talismans/rust and ancient weapons

Yeh, I was considering this (or the kill 6 rheno's), but I just wanted to take every option in consideration... though mostly I was just curious.

And just google talisman hunting or farming or w/e and suicide mining is what pops up most often. :Z But side quests are fast enough.

Altho I wouldn't honestly bother with the powderstone if you are farming for rust weapons. You will probably earn several hundred thousand zenny worth of ore alone, so

Sorry if my questions are bothering you all. :Z But does anyone know when you're able to make Decorations that take up multiple slots?

I make sure I do both sub quests. Even if your mining doesn't give a good amount of shards you can get lucky and get something worthwhile from the quest reward.

I'm not sure exactly but it's pretty early. Just keep checking the list of decorations available to forge.

Looked it up, and it's just like I thought; you can forge them when you've been exposed to the materials. And sadly the one I had in mind needs Bloodstone Jewels which won't be available until the set I was looking at would be outdated anyways. xd
