His wings poof and he free falls.

Psh, thats the whorenado of brawl, imo atleast

I like doing the around the world arrows with pit, although I'm not very successful with it. I hate the noises pit makes, so I don't try and pick him much

Pit and Metafag probably have the best recoveries in the game

Pit doesn't.
Lol, when he uses his up B, he's very vulnerable for a few seconds and any one with a good ranged attack can hit him while he has wings and then he just free falls.
Jiggly has nice recovery.
Toon Link has decent. Snakes is AWESOME if you can blow yourself up to re use Up B.

I'd prefer Jigglypuff's or R.O.B's over Pit's.

glide to the edge and you're fine. Problem with jiggles is she doesn't have an up b recover... so sometimes you'll find yourself thinking you have more jumps left than you do (personal experience :[)

I would put TL higher than most forsure, but snake takes 14ish damage to himself to do it (not that it isn't worth it, but still)

You have a point on Wall-e, I forgot about him

But again, gliding can make yourself vulnerable to an attack that should be otherwise easily avoidable.
And Jiggly is so light so you can jump, float, jump, float.
And then you got side b to horizontal movement.

Snake's recovery isn't TOO great, but he has a nice third leg to fall on if he has to.

Try using upward-pounds with Jigglypuff. It's basically an infinite horizontal recovery without needing jumps.

I'm also a very big fan of Lucas' / Sonic's recoveries. They might not be the best, but they have a LOT of versatility.
