its the same as pac mans hydrant. And good pacman/dhd will be well aware of the opponent possibly using it against them and shield, spot dodge, etc.

i dont find many good pac man's player , the only pacmans i play vs are mostly spammers who use the cherry attack and combo it with the hydrant + the bubble eating whatever crap that is

As fun as sm4sh is, it just doesn't come any where near as good as projectm/melee so I don't imagine I will really end up playing it long term

yeah i find that most matches just feel the same
but sometimes i just feel like playing for like an hour, but id rather play vs ppl i know rather than playing vs randoms
