yeah it isnt nintendo's property, but sonic/snakes werent either
just like megaman isnt

i mean SE owns the right to geno, so making an arrangement with sakurai/nintendo to put him in the next smash isnt impossible
and then maybe make a true sequel to smrpg and/or a geno standalone game (and maybe even throw mallow in all this)

nintendo always said they're doing what their fans want, well why not do just that instead of making an other new super mario bros and say thats what ppl want
pretty sure anyone who liked smrpg would buy the sequel w/o a second thought

SMRPG is probably my favorite game of my childhood, tied with FF7 and OOT

Any tournament you go to, any good one at least, items aren't even allowed. The game mechanics should be built around no items, and then just add whatever items.
Smash balls were kinda cool at first, but fucking stupid to play seriously with.
Doesn't hurt to have them in the game, but it's not a deal breaker if they're out.

yup, they were pretty fun but in the end solid core mechanics is what makes a smash bros. game

ssbm gameplay mechanics(wavedashing/speed etc..) + brawl roster +some additional character slike megaman = win. i was disappointed with the feel of brawl. i just liked the roster

I like items, but I'm not a competitive player. I'm pretty good at the game, but I don't like playing 1v1's just because 4 player FFA is much more fun.

Items add a nice random element.
