that's what sucks about getting mh4u so late though, it just came out outside of japan and capcom has already announced stories and cross, i guess it'll take them as long to localise those games as it took for mh4u but goddamn it's frustrating

well stories is different style, X looks like it's taking ideas from frontier, alongside giving us old areas
and we got 4U only 5 months or so later than japan did, that's one of the better timeframes for us getting a MH game

yeah but that's because they skipped 4 entirely, and that one came out in 2013 in japan

i wouldn't say it's cause they skipped it, theys kipped 4 cause they likely knew 4G/4U was around the corner (kind of like why they waited on 3U til 3U HD was out to bring it to us)
also Tri for the Wii was around 6 months

the games can get brought over quite fast

i think they do it to avoid market saturation, Japan players seem more than happy to buy anything monster hunter while, i feel, american and european gamers would be overwhelmed if all mh games came out in their region at the same time as japan gets 'em

all depends, but this will also be a bit of a different MH experience with the new/changed movesets for weapons
I've always wanted the Frontier movesets for DB so I hope it will contain some of that (while demonized you could keep up an infinite combo and had a good moveset for avoiding as well)

it has hit a few other places, but i think it's only survived in japan
but it's on PC, 360, PS3, Wii U, and I think it's also on Vita now as well
PC and 360 share servers, but the rest are on different (although idk if they are connected to each other or not)
it has a large number of monsters unique to it, a unique weapon, and unique movesets for existing weapons
