What controller are you guys using atm

I am use the wiiu pro controller and might just use this long term, its comfy as hell and similar layout to 3ds so im already used to it. Not quite used to having c-stick above the buttons but idk, time will tell.

Still will probably get a gamecube adapter too in future when they get back in stock

Lag is same or even worse than 3ds on wii u. I have yet to have a match that was flawless. Shit makes me rage harder than League. Either Nintendo can't program the netcode for shit (which is probably the case) or people connections suck shit.

weird, i keep hearing the wiiu version is pretty much always flawless in 1v1 matches and mostly flawless in 4 player matches, so maybe it's on your end?

I have 150/25 with 31 ping time consistent. I've DMZ'd wii with 2 different modems and used Eth and wireless. Makes no difference.

could be your tv too, a lot of tvs have a decent amount of input lag. Some have a "gaming" mode to get rid of most, some are just trash.
