i'm kinda late here, but brawl is DEFINITELY competitive. while it is campier than melee, what makes it any more campy than something like street fighter? street fighter has always been played at a competitive level. brawl is more complex than street fighter too since street fighter is player vs player, while brawl is player vs player vs stage. then add in all the advanced techs (glide tossing, perfect shielding, bdacus, dacus, etc.) and it gets more complex. also brawl is no longer on the circuit because of a stunt pulled by adhd and m2k at the finals in dallas along with low attendance at the last few events.

then the only thing about mario kart that makes it competitive is snaking in mario kart ds. if you can't do it and you play someone who's good at it, you lose. XD

not a literal stunt. -.- they got accused of bracket manipulation at the mlg before the finals and got banned from the dallas finals. but yeah one guy did kind of dominate 4 of the 5 mlgs last year, but since then he's been getting dethroned in national tournaments that actually matter. XD mlg was cool for brawl, but without pools tournaments are kind of silly when there are that many people.

brawl is ofc able to have a competitive scene (since it has one =D) but unlike melee it will die because it simply isnt fun to watch

just compare any combo ever done in brawl to wombo combo, i mean even my brother who plays ET/CoD/Brink does know it

mario kart wii also def. is competitive, but most people only see their own playing and think its not

items are uber? so what, you can actually dodge blue shells, just btw...
