Ok there IS skill in brawl
However, Brawl does not reward players for agressive play (unless you are 1 of the few characters where it does, such as metaknight).
which turns Brawl into a slow camp fest.

However, they involve more guess work and mindgames to work. These types of combos existed in Melee too (tech chasing etc.) In the strict sense of the word, they are not really combos (most of them) but they are strings of attacks linked together. For this reason, I would still consider it a "combo".

The biggest problem with brawl, is simply the fact that it removes much of what made the smash bros franchise exciting for players of the first two games in the series.

As a Melee fan, I can say that brawl is Strictly a better game in most senses overall. If I had never played melee or ssb64, I would probably be in love with brawl just like 95% of smash bros players out there.

simply put, other than playing with "your favorite nintendo character" I see no reason to play brawl over say, street fighter or soul calibur or the like. (generally speaking)

I do like brawl as a party game to play with friends. I do like brawl for all the cool additions to the smash bros game. I dont like brawl as a competetive fighting game, and I am sad that my "professional" smash bros days must come to an end.

u know what... brawl could b good if gay characters like MK and snake were banned... cause then.. there'd be wider selection on who u could ACTUALLY pick as viable characters in tourneys.

or downgraded, i know this game i used to play where if one char was found to be overpowered there would be a update and there would be slight changes in the characters to balance them.
Its hard to make all characters balanced in testing phase because people find out new tactics.. thats why updates are a good solution.
