it started shutting off when i closed the lid a while ago, apparently it's a problem with the screens that causes a short-circuit, making the system shut off / making a distinct clicking noise

now it just won't turn on

Did you register it on club nintendo?

cause if you do u get an extra 90 days.

that's something i'd consider.

I personally like to keep all the console's i buy.

Not the screens, something in your 3ds is getting pulled whenever you close/open it so if you have minimal electronics knowledge, you could probably repair it yourself

Or you could send it to me so It can have a new home while getting its wounds treated

Edit: nvm. Reread that and short circuiting is what's happening there

Personally i'd keep the 3ds , always nice to have a little collection to remind u of ur past console's and who knows you might be able to show ur a kid a thing or 2 about videogames back in the days.

Be sure to repair that thing, would be a shame if its left in a bad condition as fixing it back is quite simple if you know the basics in electronics

Opening it and understanding which parts are defective will only take a few minutes with the proper tools

that

and also if you leave it broken to long it might just make the problem even more worse...
