I doubt they'll make a MM remake for 3DS if they already made an OoT one

Maybe for WiiU...

I could see Sunshine on 3DS though, since Mario 64 was remade for DS...

Idk, it would be pretty logical to do MM on the 3ds and Sunshine on the WiiU

There is already an engine with updated graphics for Oot 3d which they could reuse to make majora's mask, plus the game is way less demanding than sunshine. Seeing how well the 3d remake of Oot did, they might be interested to port it's sequel aswell

As for sunshine, the WiiU has enough muscle to make it look amazing, WiiU has some pretty great lighting too, which would make sunshine look just awesome.

If they remake MM it will be for the 3ds for sure. For the wiiu, they'd have to rebuild the entire game up from scrath otherwise it'd just look like shit

but for 3ds they just need to do some touch ups because MM is already about on par with 3ds level graphics.

well Resident evil: revelations looked a hundred times better than anything on n64 but otherwise i agree, people will expect much more from a WiiU remake, they'll want it to look good, so they'd have to update it quite a bit.

The latest edition of Japanese gaming publication Famistu contains plenty of exciting information about Square Enix’s forthcoming Nintendo 3DS JRPG, Final Fantasy Explorers. We reported yesterday that the official website is now live, so if you’re a Final Fantasy fan be sure to check it out. Here’s the latest information.

More jobs confirmed
Can play as the Dragon Knight, Paladin, Thief, Ninja, Red Mage, Time Mage, and Bard
Assign a maximum of eight abilities to each button for use in battle
Famitsu describes Final Fantasy Explorers as a “lite” version of FinalFantasy XIV or Final Fantasy XI – Character positioning is important
Square Enix is including an ability chaining system – Once mastered, job-specific abilities can be used within other jobs -
Ability costs vary depending on which job a give character currently has – Ex: Black Mage will have black magic costs halved
Takes place on an island with various locations – Can walk to all of its adjoining lands – Can befriend monsters when you defeat them
A monster training element is being included – Since you have four max player slots, you can fill the remaining slots with monsters
Ex: 2 human players and 2 monster players – Said to last between 100-200 hours
Square-Enix is said to be developing the game with intention of expanding it into a proper action-RPG sub-series for Final Fantasy
Local and online co-op is supported

You were really happy with it at first, what happened?

I never got around buying the full game because the demo never really convinced me; I thought the demo showed a decent game which had its potential cut off by the mechanics and friend/sleeppoints functionalities that I personaly found unappealing

The mechanics of the game were awesome, I had a lot of fun setting up my party (jobs, skills, equipment, etc.) but the story, the characters and the structure of the game were a huge let down, and it only goes downhill after the beginning. It seemed super good at first but it's potential ended up being wasted imo.

Well that's a shame :/

I never played FF XI or XIV so I'm not sure what i should expect from FFE... however I don't like any of the FF games I've played that have been developed by Square-Enix, so I don't have my hopes too high. FF was one my favourite (if not my favourite) videogame franchises before Squaresoft merged with Enix, but I could never get into the games they released after that.
