I'm thinking of making the purchase of a 3ds XL. How big is the memory? Can I download retro nintendo games onto it and play them without being connected to wifi? How is the battery life? Any word on whether or not Zelda Windwaker will be coming to 3ds?

It works with SD cards up to 32 gb, comes with 4gb SD card. Yes, you can play retro games without being connected to wifi. Battery life idk i dont have a XL. WW won't come to 3ds, there's a HD remake on WiiU though

Do you prefer it over the 3ds? With my time constraints, I'm not going to have time to enjoy both to the fullest extent.

right now i'm playing a lot more on my WiiU but i've played a ton on my 3ds already. 3ds definitely has a larger range or games but if you can find 5-7 games that interest you on WiiU then why not go for it ^^
