There are a few glitches you can use to your advantage in OoT where I think you only need to beat the Well in Kakariko Village and get the Hover Boots from the Shadow Temple.

only temple you can skip are the first 3 iirc

then you need the medaillon to proceed, also you might need some item in the first 3 dungeon (not sure if you need the slingshot or boomerang, but u need the bombs for sure, since they're at the base of a lot of glitches)

also it depends on which version of oot youre playing

exploiting the glitches is what make the game worth replaying imo

also thats how he got the lights arrow early

Reverse Bottle Adventure
Effect: Rewrite inventory values to place items in Link's inventory or take items out.

Prerequisites: Have 0 deku sticks, at least one bottle with bugs or a fish in it, and know how to steal the fishing rod.

How to: First, steal the fishing rod from the fishing pond. Next, without pausing, go into the water so that the B button dims. Next, get out of the water and pause and upause. The B button will now change to a deku stick. If you are an adult and you do not have 0 deku sticks, the game will freeze when you press B. Next, take out your bottle with something inside and empty the item. Next, catch it again. While Link is holding the bottle, perform a backflip and quickly press the button for the bottle and then B. If done correctly, Link will empty the bottle, and then the B button will display a bottle. Next, catch the item with your B button bottle. This will change an inventory slot to something depending on what you caught and what item you had equipped to C-right. The most common use for this is to obtain the secret colored gauntlets, which are obtained by having the pocket cucco trading item equipped to C-right and by catching a fish on the B button bottle.

Note: This can cause problems with your game file. You may lose inventory items if you do this incorrectly. To get your sword back on B, simply pause and equip it.
Parameters: This glitch can not be done to to obtain any C-button items, it will simply place a bottle in the slot of the item. You can only use it for equipment, quest status icons, etc.

and seriously anyone who says this is cheating, it isnt
its exploiting game bugs, not the same thing at all

idk, suppose it's a matter of taste. When I play Zelda, I take it as a deep experience... I like taking my time, tasting it like a good wine. I replay them every few years, which is more or less enough time to ferget what to do at certain parts so I can get stuck again.

thats cool, but speedrunning is a lot more entertaining imo, playing the same game 20 times gets pretty boring when you dont have any objective

I enjoy speedrunning on NES/SNES platform games like the Mario's and DKC's... but not on Adventure or RPG's. Unless I'm talking to owls or pokénurses, I find it very hard to skip texts. I really like wasting time on those type of games, it's not compatible with speedrunning.
