should i get one?
and how much are they if i got one from a store right now?

don't buy one just download project 64 from http://www.coolrom.com/emulators/n64/21/Project64.php and also on that website you can get free games under the rom files tab under nintendo 64, you can also get an adapter so you can use a controller for n64 games for about 10-15 bucks you can find the adapter on amazon.com

emulators work alright but will never be considered a replacement for an n64..there are a few really buggy roms that are some of the best games...especially paper mario, which i have yet to find a completely working copy of a rom for. Plus the controller for the n64 is damn near perfect for the games on the console, even with the joystick issue, it's just too different with a 360 or ps3 controller
