I'd probably go for Mario Kart 7, since it has an addictive online gameply that can keep you playing for weeks after you've won all of the cups in single player. Unlke say Zelda, which is awesome but once you beat the game and complete the sidequests you put the game back into the box for a few years.

Out of the games I have I also recommend Super Mario 3D Land and, especially, Donkey Kong Country Returns, but again these games don't have the ability to keep you playing that MK7 does.

Just finished Link Between Worlds.
Great game, went for 100% completion before fighting the final boss.
(hinty hint hint saving all 100 maiamais makes the final fight a lot easier for a certain part)

Unlocked a hero mode now to play a harder version, which is good because it seemed a little too easy.
Not the longest game in the world, but any zelda fan should love the hell out of it.
