im debating if i should get link between worlds

i couldnt beat the first zelda, and  minish cap without cheating and looking at a strategy guide on youtube

i have feeling im going to get lost on where to go and what to do next

Isn't that the beauty of Zelda games?

The first run through is always fun because you get stuck and spend hours trying to figure out what to do next... the second playthrough is fun because you go for a 100% file... and the following playthroughs continue to be enjoyable because of the nostalgia you get from the fun you had during the first 2 playthroughs.

At least that's how it works for me. Getting stuck is part of every Zelda game when you play it the first time; it's frustrating but also fun and challenging... idk, I always had a love/hate relationship with the OoT Water Temple for example.

the first Zelda was meant to be that way because it would have been a bit short otherwise, seeing as there is no real puzzle (it's more like hidden stuff you need to find by trial and error)

and minish cap is super flawed in some aspects i just finished it and also looked up a lot of stuff on the internet

so really getting lost in those two games doesnt mean you'll get lost in alttp2

You should really sort this out :P

But no, LttP isn't like the original LoZ. The original Zelda had really tough enemies and much of the difficulty of the game was based on how difficult it was to clear the dungeon without dying, whlie LttP is a lot more about the puzzles. Also the NES game had a lot of secrets you would only run into by chance or after reading a guide, but this is only because the NES didn't allow Nintendo to go into details and give hints to the players, this is different in LttP where there are a lot of secrets but they are all hinted in some way. LttP was a very advanced game for its time; dispite not being a 3D Zelda, its gameplay is much closer to OoT than it is to the original LoZ.
