Yeah, there will be differences, but big enough to make 3DS not buy the 3DS version? I don't think they'll drop the online considering MK7 had it. As long as the 3DS version has the classic mode and online support then whatever the differences are probably won't make it worth buying a WiiU just for this game.

I think, that, the 3DS version is going to be more like an extension to Super Smash Bros. 64 while the WiiU version on the other hand will just be what anybody would expect for the next entry.

the 3ds isnt powerful enough to have the full wiiu version anyway
so its going to be either a complementary game or some kind of watered down version
