I did this and i love my 3dsxl

thing is i dont want to spend 150$ just to upgrade my 3ds
i might do it if i can sell my 3ds for like 80-100$

not sure but if i recall correctly gamestop gives 100$ off the xl if you trade in your original 3ds, altough you can prob get more than 100$ since you've got an ambassador 3ds (and if im correct there isnt a gamestop near you is there?)

also ambassador doesnt mean anything since you transfer your data over your new 3ds anyway
asked them about selling my 3ds, they'd give me 50$

id prolly sell it if i didnt pay 250 for it

give it about 2years 3ds xl will probably drop 2 $99

then 3rd generation 3ds version should be out by then

dsi/dsixl didnt sell very well, i wouldnt count on a 3rd iteration

dsi was 3rd gen
dsixl was 4th
dslite was 2nd

/e: although, dsi/dsixl could be counted as the same gen
