Sonic was never that great. He had a couple good games but overall he couldn't step near Mario or Zelda, there's a reason sega doesn't have a new console.

yes and that was all because of sega's marketing. if they didnt release dumb shit like the cd and 32x and than make a weak 64 bit system along with every dumb over priced peripharal they may of lasted longer

and the handhelds were good but too expensive for the average person and they ate AA's like an energy monster


and he was always great except for sonic 3d blast and that wasnt even made by the sonic team

Hopefully they'll get rid of Sonic, Solid Snake and all the characters that never really had a strong bond with Nintendo.

Not that I dislike those characters, but I like how it was in the first games, with only Nintendo characters (like in Mario Kart). Nintendo really has enough characters of its own to not need to borrow characters from other companies.

The only third party characters I'd like to see are Goemon, Megaman and maybe Banjo/Kazooie. Even though that not all their games were made for Nintendo consoles, they grew up with Nintendo.

i dont really care where those chars come from, if they bring back memories to some people why not? the most important part imo is to keep things nicely balanced and fun for every player ^^
