i dont need to actually play to see that excadrill is a beast lol, good typing, very nice attack, able to outspeed the entire metagame when it switch in, access to SD, resistant to SR, etc

and its not that i dont care, i just didnt read a lot about it yet, neither did i experience anything on it yet since i didnt even finish my first playthrough of the game


just sayin that excadrill is better than haxorus since he has 97 base speed, 3 pts behind that magic 100 base speed, has bad spe attack, so hes a lot more predictable than salamence


imo garchomp is still a lot better than haxorus when it come to physical dragon, i dont think 17 more base attack do that much tbh, would be curious to see if it help to score any notorious ohko or 2hko


/e: seems like a lot of ppl forget about hydreigon, which is superior to haxorus (since it can go mixed) and is a lot more bulkier than him too

still under the 100 base speed tho

sure he doesnt have SD, but he has Work Up, which would work pretty well with a mixed set

yh work up is good this gen

but both excadrill and haxorus are phys attackers which might be why hes asking which is better for a phys attacker role in a 5th gen team

also ground/steel typing is shit comparing that the priority attacks such as aqua jet and mach punch make it redundant..

and with spikes it will decrease its health low enough for those priotity pokes to come in where as you need ice shard for haxorus if it gets set up with 1-2 DD

i just dont think excadrill is the better pokemon here i would need to see the team to tell if either fit

well, excadrill weakness IS priority attack, but ur talkin like every pokemon has one, thats why im saying eliminate the pokemon that has priority and then u can pretty much sweep the other team

I think that smogon's rules on whats banned and not are retarded. I understand their community can and will follow their rules, but I have no interest in following someone elses rules that aren't either mine or nintendos and too many people think their rules are final.

What I mean to say.. is I hate it when people tell me something on a team of mine is banned... Just because Smogon says it is. I don't participate in Smogon's community so I don't like people trying to force their rules upon me.

this, im following most of smogon rules because it makes the game balanced tho, esp like evasion clause and sleep clause


but i mean, when u play on wifi vs random ppl, no one will follow those rules, and even vs ppl u ''know'', maybe they wont either

nn close combat drain punch does alright damage after a bulk up and heals if you want CC get a lucario (Y)

iv seen conk on almost every team its a supped up machamp and as far as i know not many ppl ran CC on machamp



and to the smogon comment.. its a general list of rules to make everything more balanced and afaik sites use smogons rules aswell because they know its balanced

Lol? If he's a common counter to Excadrill, then most smart people will switch out. And what's so bad about using Tyranitar? Get's a huge Sp Def boost in Sandstorm cuz rock, has beast attack stats and is a defensive monster.
and Hippowdon is just a fucking tank in general.
