3 Handicraft jewels can work in place of architect. Whichever is easier.

so the only way to get autoguard is with a talisman?

Yeah. You get it in single player, on the first mission I believe. The skill isn't available on armor at all.

well apparently you cant get the charm but once...so i wont ever have auto guard on my guy i guess
