That blows. Think since it is a Wii product, it would.

almost 100% sure it doesnt

most consoles want you buying new controllers, not using the same one over and over. At best they allow the console before its controller

pretty sure it allows wii controllers

Think since it's the other half of the Wii, still would allow gc conts. ESP if it will have Gc game downloadable.
Guess they'll make their money back one way or another.

so stoked for this

anyways this sounds intresting

Animal Crossing developer Katsuya Eguchi, a Nintendo veteran and producer on upcoming Wii U projects, has spoken to Kotaku about an unannounced Metroid title for the Wii U. Whilst it appears as though Eguchi was simply musing about the title, it’s extremely likely that there is a new Metroid game in the works at Nintendo. Well, he clearly knows more about the game than we do. What would you like to see from a new Metroid title on Wii U?

“I can’t give you any details now,” he said, “but I’m sure there will be a new Metroid release making use of the new controller, not just to control Samus and her ship but also to give the player a new source of information. Maybe the player is looking at the screen but has the information that they need to defeat the enemy in their hands.” Maybe you could hold the Wii controller up to the screen and scan your enemy, I suggested. “You could look through the screen and scan your enemy and find where it’s weakspot is.”

so are codes actually gone?

ubisoft confirmed it i guess

"In what can be the smartest move Nintendo has made this E3, the company has decided to do away with friend codes for the Wii U. Hallelujah! Instead of friend codes gamers will have a single identity online, kind of like a gamertag. This will make building a friends list and communicating online much easier.

Now while this news isn’t coming from Nintendo (Ubisoft is actually the company that revealed it), if it is indeed true, and why wouldn’t it be, this is a very smart move. The friend codes were one of the worst things about the Wii and if they carried them over to the Wii U, once again the console would lag behind the XBOX 360 and PS3 in terms of online gaming. Hopefully with the friend code gone, the Wii U will be seen as a legitimate platform for online gaming."

doesnt matter, honestly even just having 1 friend code for all games is fine by me (with the 3ds case)..but friend code per game was the dumbest thing ever
