also the WiiU sold 38k in japan last week, japan was the only market in which the WiiU was still really struggling with around 5k consoles sold per week (30k per week for the last few weeks in the US and around 25k per week in Europe)

do you guys think ninty can pull of the same magic trick they did with the 3ds?

The plans seems to be working, as the recently released Mario and Luigi Deluxe Set that includes New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U has already sold out at both US retailers Target and GameStop.

The recently confirmed New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U 32GB Deluxe Wii U bundle is now sold out at US retail website Target.com. The very same bundle is also sold out online at GameStop.com. Hopefully this should improve the Wii U hardware sales in North America, which to date haven’t been anywhere near as positive as Nintendo would have hoped. We should get the official NPD hardware figures in the next few weeks.

Nah, the wiiu won't be as successful as the 3ds.

Lack of third party support. batman sold like 10k compared to half a mill on consoles. Even if nintendo does get third party games, they often lack content, patches, dlc, etc.


Wiiu will be similar to gamecube imo. Lots of quality first party games, enough third party games to get you by. It won't any where as well as the wii

I'm still not convinced about the WiiU.

I have a 3DS already, bought it for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate & Etrian Odyssey IV.

New Smash Bros won't be playable with a gamecube controller, so I don't really have an interest in playing it, will be too much of a switch.
Mario 3D world looks cool, but I'm not spending ~350 euros to be able to play that.

Convince me, people?

on my part, ill be buying one, but im waiting for the right bundle to come out (hoping for an other mario bundle)

get hyped, lately i've been watching a lot of RoM (revival of melee) and smash matches. Going to set up pm on my wii, craving some smash bros hard. PM 3.0 looks hella wicked
