except the handheld market isnt the same as the console market
the only reason the vita failed so hard was because of its prize and lack of games
oh look, the same reason the wiiu isnt selling

that doesnt change anything, the games ARE coming and when they're there people will buy it

the 3ds was shaping up to be a pretty big failure but the games saved it and now it's been the best selling console for almost a year straight

but when will these games come?

i mean if the mario game bomb, it going to be up to smash, and smash is late 2014, or maybe even 1st quarter 2015 if its delayed
and the 3ds is only the best selling console because of the lack of competition and its major price cut
the wiiu will have competition tho, and i dont think it will be able to compete with the ps4 if it doesnt get a price cut, 50$ difference is just ridiculous for what the ps4 offers compared to the wiiu

so yeah, excuse my skepticism, but i am not touching a wiiu until nintendo gives a reason to, and i invite everyone else to do the same
the customer shouldnt be the one taking risks

unlike the 3ds the WiiU surpassed the horrendous sales that the 3ds got before the pricecut (3ds was around 750k sales worldwide iirc, WiiU is already at 3.61m)
while overall sales not doing much, it's still doing better than the 3ds did pre price cut



it's only a $50 difference if you get the deluxe, it's $100 if you get basic
as far as ps4 is concerned for me atm, I have yet to see a game that really interests me much, although that could easily change once TGS happens

Is the Wii-u worth getting over ps4? Not now, no.
Will it be in the future? Unclear at the moment, unless some one has a magic crystal ball, we will not know until they're both out with their own big games(If Nintendo ever makes any that isn't a rehashed Mario game/port).

the majority of people seems to like what they see in the ps4 or the x1, i havent heard anything good about the wiiu anywhere except here, and what ive seen doesnt impress me at all

noone wants a wiiu atm, everyone who wanted one got one and they now regret it (generalizing here obviously, but you get the idea)
wiiu had like 3-4 month with absolutely no game coming out, and then you guys got a lego game, a nsmbu 30$ dlc and pikmin 3 which is probably the only good thing out for the wiiu atm

talking about the future of the wiiu is pointless since noone knows what gonna happen, might as well say its going the be the greatest console of all time and that sony/MS are gonna go bankrupt because of nintendo flexing his now huge corporate penis
im talking about the wiiu in the now and i think that buying a wiiu now is a huge mistake

i will agree I do tend to fall in as a minority with my game preferences (seeing as the games I find I enjoy most are the more niche titles)
also I have yet to even purchase a Wii U yet, but I'm really tempted to do so once I go back to school
