pikmin is pretty cool, but its still only one game

what good games are coming out in the next 5months?
wonderful101? id be surprised if it scored more than 7.5, pretty much a gamble
new mario game? same shit all over again, except now you have a catsuit (iknorite?)
windwaker hd? cool, but still isnt anything new (obviously they wanted a zelda game to push wiiu terrible sales)
what else? oh nothing? well bummer..

nintendo isnt taking any risk and keeps pulling the same trick over and over again
its been like this for a while, but its been a lot worse since the 3ds came out

they completely dropped the wii in the end except for like skyward sword
dropped the ball with the 3ds launch, 250$ for a couple of remakes
said they wouldnt do the same mistake with wiiu
well guess what, they did worse

i dont see why anyone would recommend getting a wiiu right now
no games, expensive as fuck for what you get

all i'm saying is nsmbu and nsmb wii are pretty similar in style and in gameplay but they are both fun games

Sure the 3ds had a pretty hard launch but it's been doing awesome for so long now and the games nintendo promised have come and are super good! They promised games are going to come to the WiiU and i know they will. If you're interested in the upcoming games and you're interested some of those games : Nintendo land, Lego city undercover, monster hunter 3, pikmin 3, new super mario bros u and new super Luigi U (Luigi U is more challenging if you're looking for that) (wonderful 101 in septembre)

Well personally the online aspect of 3U alone makes me want a Wii U when i go back to school (I have 400 hours or so in 3U, and with that many hours it makes it really worth it)
Wind Waker HD sounds neat with the fact they're adding/changing some things to make it better
I'm also kind of interested in seeing more about X from Monolith Soft

also im talking about games that are out now or are going to be out soon (in the next 5 months, aka 2013)
X doesnt even have a release date atm, could be 2015 for all we know

i really do think that the first worth while game for wiiu will be smash
i just dont see the new mario game being anything special, or any of the games announced at E3 really
maybe in the next month or two if we get some kind of surprise announcement
but as of right now, i dont see any reason to get a wiiu over other consoles (esp the ps4, which will only be 50$ more)

tbh 3U doesn't seem to be that much of a remake
it no longer has certain systems and mechanics that tri had (such as the sidequests and the unstable system is done differently i think), Alatreon is no longer a normal online quest, but is now in a village quest in high rank (tri only had low rank village), it brought in G rank for online, online quests can be played offline still which no previous console based MH game can do, tons of monsters were added (3U is 2nd to Freedom Unite in total monsters by about 3, where as tri has one of the lowest monster counts), it brought back the weapons tri lacked (although portable 3rd did that first, but we never got it)

agree completly with doyek, also not only are the ports fucking awful but the wii u is still missing out on so many multiplat games that are going to sony/ms only.

i dont think ima get wii u, as much as i like the nintendo exclusives i cant justify getting a wii u over a Ps4 when i already have a 3ds which can play a lot of the best games. smash aka

i think im gonna get kid icarus and mario nd luigi dream team as my next pick up to add to my luigis mansion and fire emblem.. or maybe kingdom hearts

I'll say what i always said with the 3ds, once the games nintendo announced come out it's going to be a decent system to own and it's definitely going to be worthwhile. Just with the way Pikmin 3 looks and plays is a great indicator of the quality the next games are going to have. The 3ds struggled pretty hard for a while but eventually turned out awesome. By the end of 2014 the WiiU should have an awesome library and will definitely be a good option to go with. Personally i dont care much for sony or ms first party games or their exclusive so for me buying the WiiU now or in a year doesnt make a difference except i get to play Pikmin 3 and all the early games.
