tbh MH3U alone is worth buying console at current price just cause of the amount of time you would probably put into it (assuming you enjoy that kind of game ofc)

isnt MH3U the same as the one as that came out on the wii?
except they added some stuff in it

if so i dont see how this could be worth it

i believe it's 2-3 new weapons
and twice the number of big monsters which means more swords and armors aswell

it adds a ton to it, plus the ability to actually play the online stuff offline, whereas the wii one can't do them offline (like the previous main console ones)
adds tons of subspecies to the monsters along with the subspecies and new monsters from MHP3 (which we never got, and we didn't get the tigrex subspecies in 3U)
it adds a rank above high (all G games do, which 3U is called 3G in japan) which not only throwes stronger versions of the monsters at you, but adds in new attacks and they feel more aggressive
new weapons and armour added with the inclusion of g rank and the new monsters/subspecies
original 3 had weapons removed like dual blades and bow and a few others, 3U brings them back (MHP3 had them reincluded as well though)
new Event quests
the Village quests now include high rank which is 6* to 9* quests, 3 originally only went 1* to 5* which was all low rank (and although story is not a big thing for MH games it did add more to it)
brand new effect for weapons: slime

so yeah its like i said
basically the same game except with more qs/monsters/etc

i dont think that spending 350$ for that is worth it
esp when a price drop could happen really soon

well think of it like this (real world example too)
my teacher has 3 copies of the game on 3ds and 1 on the wii u, he got 2 3ds and a wii u for the game, he got a Circle Pad Pro for the game
he spent over $1k and he thinks it was well worth it cause he knows it'll come out to only being about $1/hour spent compared to the time played
also his reason for the multiple copies is cause he has kids who like it too

which is an interesting way of looking at it imo

i mean if you really like the MH series ok
obviously your teacher just cant get enough of it

but i mean for your average joe who's just looking for a game to play, i dont think its worth it

i mean ive played dota2 for about 800 hours and ive spent about 20 bucks on the game
thats about 2cents per hour
didnt have to spend money on a new console or a new game

there are plenty of good games out there, but theres only so much time to play them

you def have a point, but i was just saying in the end it can be kinda worth it if it's something you're really into (i got my vita for P4G for example and have only gotten 1 other game, Soul Sacrifice, since)

to me, getting a console for only one game is a waste of money
thats my opinion

and the wiiu atm is pretty much this
it doesnt have an interesting library atm

if the console was doing well i wouldnt say anything
but since its selling so poorly and the price is high compared to what other companies are offering
id say wait for a price drop or at least for the next big game to come out (if you really cant wait for a price drop)

for me it depends how much i like the game cause MH3U alone is enough + the fact i know more is coming anyway
as for the price issue it's most def cause of the controller, although i like the idea of the gamepad, the console may be expensive, but in the long run it will always get some of the games i'll play

which is why i said if the console was doing id say get it now
but since its very likely theres going to be a price drop sometime in the nearish future, you're better off waiting

i mean none of the game on wiiu atm really appeal to me, but i know i will be buying one eventually
why am i not buying one now?
because the console isnt doing well, and like the 3ds it might very well receive a price drop if the console doesnt start selling anytime soon (which is very unlikely with the ps4 and x1 coming out very soon)

so im just waiting for all this to happen and im not losing anything by doing so
