yes! combine the two worst names in the history of naming things

they're terrible at naming their products but i love their games

well 1 way to think on the naming scheme can be, for the most part they tend to stick this in some way
*company name* *Brand (some older ones may not fall here imo, ie Nintendo 64)* *iteration name(in case of some this can be in front of company name, ie New Nintendo 3DS or Super Nintendo, and this may not exist like for Gamecube)*

Atlus has done something similar to this with all the games falling under the SMT brand, while not directly related to the main SMT itself (although sharing mechanics in some way usually)

No matter how you look at it, putting "new" in front of a product name is a bad idea, simply because the product won't always be new while the name is set in stone. Used New 3ds XL

I think Nintendo lost all balls to push forward/innovate. I surely hope NX will have the hardware behind it.

Yeah, but Nintendo has done a lot with their controllers with each console basically.

so i made a thread in the "mobile games" section after the announcement, since they're the target audience and all. Only got one reply so far xD looks like mobile game enthusiasts dont give a crap about ninty.

I imagine they'll try and find a way to try and innovate, it seems to be what they like to do
although sometimes companies don't always make much use of what nintendo does (namely Wii U really hasn't gotten much when that dedicated 2nd screen could be used to make games comparably or even better than some of ones the DS/3DS have gotten)

I imagine with the NX and whatever the handheld counterpart will be (since it's been known for a while they want next console/handheld to be similar in design software/OS side) will probably have some neat features to make them work together well (probably better than say Vita/PS4)
and if the software sides are similar enough it would likely be easy for devs to release games on both with just graphical adjustments between the 2 versions

i hope ninetedo knows what there doing with nx

like prolly december 2017 or something
