gengar has 350 speed at 31 IVs and 252 evs with timid nature
mega gengar has max 394 speed

Rigged...? I'm not sure about that. It can seem like that at times, but its a probability factor on whe they are trying to predict your actions. The whole Yawn example used earlier by another poster is an example of the AI repeatedly using a move seeing you constantly change out then at a point swtiches their strategy to attack when they predict you won't switch out because you are predicting they are going to just use yawn again. Only "rigged" thing about it is that the trainers there have access to any pokemon created... ones that we must wait for the Pokebank for. They can use any legal ability, moves, or items. All the Super Singles Pokemon are EV trained with accordng IVs and natures for the build of what the team is designed for. Later on you can see that the teams are being built against your team you are using in the challenge if you pay a close enough attention to the teams.

It isn't hard at all, unless they RNG you to death.
I got to 60 using just Careful Assault Vest Tyranitar pretty much. Even a focus blast can't kill it. Had scizor and volcarona as back up, never sent out volcarona until the match I lost.
