Can the 3DS compete with games made for the console/PC?: Not in the graphics department, however in the fun factor it wery well can

Would you recommend a 3DS over a Kindle?: for gaming 3ds is definitely superior

How many more years are left before the next model comes out(Will there be a new model)? 3DS > 3DS XL > ????: idk if there will but the xl is pretty awesome already, unless you are looking for a system you can carry around in a pocket, then the regular is the way to go

What games would you recommend for a console scrub that likes RPG/FPS games: i'm afraid the 3ds doesnt have much to offer in the fps department but the other genres are pretty well represented, the srpg genre in particular, for some obscure reason, is very alive on the 3ds (fire emblem, shin megami tensei, ghost recon)





if you can name all those game i say go for it, especially since the 3ds is fully backwards compatible with the ds meaning you can play the ds version of most of those games

i also suggest luigi's mansion, kingdom hearts, mario 3d land, final fantasy theatrhythm and maybe lego city undercover when it comes out, if it's like the wiiu version it'll be a pretty sweet game, or gta chinatown wars for ds if you want more chasing action ^^

Yes there is netflix for 3ds, you also get a free month like you get for buying pretty much any console i think

Yes, there's a music player application
the regular 3ds comes with a 2gb sd card and the xl with a 4gb if im not mistaken, it's compatible with your common sd cards with cards up to 32gb
you'll most likely need a sd to usb adaptator to connect it to your pc in order to put music on it though and 2gb wont store much music so you'll need a new sd card but they're pretty cheap anyway

Ah nice. Already a member or netflix so that would be good to have.

As for the storage; it's one of the reason why I didn't want to go with the PS Vita. I already have a few SD cards around from my camera that I can use.

I'm assuming a cord to do that is on the cheap? Currently don't have a MP3 player or any of the like so it would be nice to bundle that with the 3DS.

one thing about music on 3ds is there is something it can detect on the files and you won't be able to play them or even see them on the list of songs (vita is similar in this respect as well )
