thanks guys, going to order another AV cable. i will update once i see if the AV cable was the cause or not.

I guess it could also be the port where the AV cable is plugged into, the effects should be the same, but that sounds less likely

hmmm, that never happened to me, but about one of the cables being faulty I suppose turning the SNES on with different combinations of 2 out of 3 cables might help clearing it up a bit

i have a hdtv samsung and some old tv. i used it on both of them and it still does the same thing. i hear the intro to snes and the super mario game but there's a black screen. and their is also a white noise in the background. im returning the AV cord and Power cord. going to order the original ones

if u have an extra n-64 av cord then u dont need to order a snes cable.
they are literally the exact same thing.

unfortunately i do not have an n64. but yeah, you are right because i read in many forums that the n64 cord will work just fine for the snes. thanks for the tip tho ^^.

just took my snes to a store that sells snes games. they did a diagnostics test on my snes with their cords and it worked! YES! ty guys for the help. topic closed!
