are there even homebrews for the vita yet? im pretty sure they can only be accessed through the vita's psp emulator which probably make the homebrew unable to use the vita's full power so nothing more than what would run on a psp

correct me if im wrong, i dont own a vita and know little about it (esp about to which extent its been hacked so far)

yep it is you can play snes roms atm and some homebrew shit

but i heard this about month ago from the japanese version

well if you want a console to play those game on the go why not get a psp

that's what the japanese are doing atm, buying more psp's than vitas because of the large library and most likely also because of homebrews and whatnot

true words. but ps vita got an better start here in eu and us maybe we will see more about it and a price drop so i can buy it also XD

and do most games require you to use the bottom screen or is it more for like the map and such

only one game requires you to use stylus

i'll give you a few exemples,


In resident evil revelations its used as a map and there are buttons for switching weapons (which can also be done with physical buttons) plus once in a while you stumble upon a little puzzle which has to be done with the touch screen

in mario kart its used as a map and shows you which items your opponents have, very useful imo

as for kid icarus i think lefties are more likely to be annoyed by the controls (from what ive heard so far) but most people get through the initial annoyment and enjoy the game afterwards

nintendo dogs cats use it very often also you can stroke the pets ore throw balls
in mario and sonic olympia 2012 you need it for walking ore wahtever XD but evry often also
and puzzle games you sswitch the blocks ore wahtever
and ofc all the painting and learning games
