I like what they are doing with the graphics, the environment, and the aesthetics, but i feel like i would be majorly disappointed with this game..i expect an awful story out of this one, and i'm assuming a very repetitious musical score

I'm not going to be buying it.

the fact that i'm pretty sure i won't like this is what will keep me from getting a wiiU, even though this is on the wii..

however if i end up with another wii i may get this game some day

I'm excited to see how the motion control works on the final release..a pawnshop down the road has the wiimote + for 15$ each so yea, that's all i'll need =)

i think this zelda will have one of the best story

ganondorf wont even be in the game this time around, so yay to that

and its the story of how the master sword was created, so i expect lots of hole to be filled

i mean its obviously the first zelda in chronological order, there has to be a good story

/e: oh and for the music, its zelda lol, zelda always had great music, and if u cant see that, well i pity you

zelda always had great music...but i don't expect it from this one..nintendo series' have an ability to go through tons of games being great, then just unload a bunch of shit on us with one of their later releases..
I started on the legend of zelda on NES as a kid, and have always loved the games, but they have had so many games with so many great tracks, i just expect that they will run out soon.
i am really hoping this will be the last zelda game...they need to stop while they are ahead, and hopefully this game will keep them ahead.

tbh i don't think there is any evidence of it being the first chronologically, i mean, it's never even indicated that each "Link" is the same character, though they all share most traits.
I have missed the windwaker and gameboy zelda's, but to my knowledge the only link's that are even hinted at being the same link are in the n64 games.

there really is not much to use to indicate a timeline, just that this would go before ocarina of time, which is the one big reason i will eventually force myself to play it even if i don't end up owning it

Ya, I don't get the storyline of the zeldas (i.e. where leg of zelda 1,2, link to the past etc, all fit into the story. I mean as far as I see, they don't).
And if this is the story of how the master sword was made, why would Link go back to that time era?
And you'll have a Ganondorf part or his influerence in it.
Don't think they'll gonna completely cut out one of the three recurring chars...
He'll prob be the one go back in time to steal the master sword, etc.

ganondorf has been omitted from zelda games before so that isn't completely unlikely...but yea for the most part the games do not cross with each other...they are considered to be different legends, thus this one could be completely unrelated to ocarina of time, even if it explains the origin of the master sword, this master sword could be completely different from the one in OOT...in the way that it's a completely unrelated story. but i'm sure they will have this one relate to OOT

I guess thats why they're called legends rather then true stories.

well it never is the same link, thats a fact

there is no official time line either, but i mean, its pretty obvious that skyward sword is the first zelda game since its the creation of the master sword, and all the zelda game (or almost all) have the master sword in it

oh and windwaker did had a lot of lore to the game, and is obviously the last zelda as of now (not counting the ds ones ofc) since hyrule as been flooded or something like that

and yeah oot and mm had the same link, since majoras mask continue right after oot ends


im not saying im a zelda lore pro, but there is a time line in the zelda game, just not an official one

I like how majora's mask, while taking place after ocarina of time, also can be taking place during ocarina of time if you want it to =)
