It's similar to Final Fantasty in the way that you walk around the area (World, town, whatever) as just the one character, and when you hit an enemy, it goes into a fight. But it's not turn based, you have a team of 4. No turn based fights, RPG type game. You level up, learn new skills, find weapons, your typical RPG type game. Except it's a 30+ hour just for plot, it's 2 disc on Gamecube (1 disc on PS2) and the story is just pure fucking gold. So good. Can't fully explain the sexy of this game. It's a "must play"

This, pretty much. This one game will make you enjoy Gamecube by itself.
Certainly one of my favorite games of all time. I just wish that the Wii version didn't suck in comparison.
