lol buttons to aim would be horrible

dunno how you control in mercenaries, but unless they find a way to make the control precise and comfortable, i wont get it

move with the buttons

aim with the slide pad

and in mercenaries its simply you move with the slide pad, press r to go in aiming mode (cant walk at that point) you aim and its Y to shoot, and you can hold L while still holding R to move while aiming (will lock your crosshair at the position you set it while holding only R)

sorry but moving with buttons wouldnt be good enough imo

you are most likely going to aim with the touch screen anyway and move with slide pad, i doubt there is any other way to make a fps on the 3ds

wasnt it like that in golden eye for 64?

it was either the dpad with one hand and joy stick with the other

or the yellow buttons and joystick

and wasnt bad

ofc you should be able to use any control scheme you want imo, some ppl prefer aiming with the touch screen and that's understandable

personally i dont mind either

exactly its a classic game, perfectionned the fps standard, then halo:ce introduced a better way to play fps

but even then you cant say the control for goldeneye were precise, aiming down or up or trying to aim with the r button was a pain in the ass really =/

i mean there is a reason why all console fps use the dual analog control now lol

i dont see how using buttons is bad lol

what about pc?

keyboard = buttons pretty much

buttons to move is okay you dont needmuch more than 8 axis and pc gaming proves that

u did not jus compare a keyboard
:xXxX

well lets say they use the button to move and slide pad to aim

what are you going to use the do the rest of the stuff the button were supposed to do?

like jump,melee,crouch,recharge

everything on the touch screen

im assuming here that r/l button are for shooting/ads
