is it possible to be stuck for so long on a zelda game?? they aren't really THAT hard

I gave up after not being able to figure out what to do for a week.

Just thought a day ago or possibly two to try to finish the game, but now I realize I don't know what I'm supposed to do now that I'm out of the cave.
