if they don't display the nintendo logo it will be a knockoff..and generally 3rd party controllers do not last long..

get wavebird wireless controllers if money is not a huge issue...they are the best controller for the gamecube, and are made by nintendo

this

i was so lucky when i went to my gamestop and at first they didnt have any nintendo gc controllers besides nyko and mad katz than whilr i was looking around the worker found a silver wave bird

i was very happy :P

the wavebirds are much more comfortable than the original ones imo...they are heavier which i like, and they have better c sticks(or at least thats what i've noticed). plus the lack of wires is a great thing with older consoles that don't have long controller cables

Indeed. I've had my wavebird since gc release. The control stick is not as responsive now though so I gotta use the wired :(

i have a wavebird and 2 original controller, and i dont really see any difference between the two

also buying batteries for the wavebird is a pain in the ass, and rechargeable are expensive

oh and i never had any problem with the length of the wire

but to each his own i guess, to me the biggest con about wireless controller is the cost related to buying batteries to play, iso M$/Sony to sell controller with built-in batteries, so i dont have to go buy them (even if they released custom rechargeable for their controllers)

the wavebird battery pack used to be 5$ but is now like 10

http://cgi.eebay.com/NEW-HIP-GEAR-BATTERY-PACK-WAVEBIRD-CONTROLLER-/140563986092?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item20ba4436ac#ht_696wt_1139

but you can get 4 rechargeable AA's with a charger(energizer so it's good) for 11$ at walmart
