i always peferred the 3d :P heard tons of ppl saying they like 2d but i havent play snes ones yet

It's been a long time since I played the NES ones, but I remember them much better in general. As for the difficulty, iirc puzzles are more complex and harder, and there are a lot more secrets and sidequests; but on the other hand it's probably easier to survive. And I like the story line too.
