There are thousands of items in DQIX. There's a massive alchemy section which is awesome, and the DLC tacks on more story quests which is unheard of on hand-helds. Haha. 12 vocations with the ability to earn passive stat upgrades for other vocations. Ie, extra natural health, str, magic mending(healing power), magic might(spell strength), resilience(defense), tons of spells...There is so much shit in this game lol. I love it. I say pick it up. OH! and there are endless treasure maps to unlock.
