First check in the Dolphin Folder for a folder named "Plugins"
do you have nJoy or Padsimple?

under the plugin tab it has gamecube pad and my only 2 options are "Dolphin GCPad New" and "Dolphin GCPad Plugin"

Hmm i think those can work. Plug in you controller and configure your buttons.

i dont have a controller atm.. that y im sayin is there a way to use the keyboard for now?

Yea. When you go to the plugins tab, there should be config beside the controller option.
at the bottom there are a bunch of buttons and when you click them, you can change the button
by entering another button command.
Example
... _________
A |____A___|

But if you click the button
...____________
A |_Press___Key| Clickzors

The key you pick will set the "A" Function on the gamecube to that button

...______________
A|____ENTER____|
So if i click Enter the "A" command on the GC will do whatever it is supposed to do.

or Dolphin KB?
I just realized that some of them may not support keyboards.
Im not sure though because ive always used a controller.

i got GC pad new but thats the controller set up and GC Pad plugin is the keyboard set up but the keyboard setup still dont work

Did you set the thing to keyboard?
If that does not work, im not sure then. Try
a controller when you get one.

i got it all to work.. now just trying to figure out why it freezes midpoint sometimes
