if you've never before played an animal crossing game, i highly suggest animal crossing city folk, if you have played one, don't bother with this title, as it's same o' same old.
it's a game both you and your wife would enjoy, and you could easily pull off a "this is for you thing"
also, be sure to head over to nintendo.com and join club nintendo, signing up and registering your wii will give you an extra 6 months warranty and registering the game codes gives you nintendo club 'coins' that can be trading in for swag.
also once a year they give away cool shit to those of us that have enough coins to be considered elite or platinum.
