How does this work btw? If you buy 1 PC copy of d2r, and 1 switch copy of d2r
- do you end up having 2 accs?
- can you log into either acc from PC and switch?

Thanks!

Here’s how **Diablo II: Resurrected** works with PC + Switch (or any console):

* **Battle.net account is the key.** Your characters and progress are tied to your Battle.net account, not to the platform itself (unless you play *offline characters*).

* If you buy **D2R on PC** and **D2R on Switch**, you can link both to the **same Battle.net account**. That means:

* You’ll have **one account**, with the same online characters, stash, ladder progress, etc.
* You can play on PC or Switch interchangeably — progress carries over (cross-progression).

* If you don’t link them, then yes, you’d effectively have **two separate accounts** (one on PC, one on Switch), and progress won’t sync.

* **Offline characters** always stay on the device/platform where they’re created (not shared).

👉 So basically:

**Link accounts → 1 account, cross-save works.
**Don’t link → 2 separate accounts, no sharing.

I find it to be an enjoyable experience on the switch however I would definitely prefer to play on pc just for the bigger pool of players. It's nice for playing on the go if you have an internet connection (I use my hotspot).

If you're intending to do a lot of trading on jsp you'll have a harder time on switch as the community isn't as large.

Yes, it can be played on Switch 2. The game supports only cross save and not cross play. Ths means you must first purchase the game on each platform you wish to play but once linked to your battle.net account you'll have access to your same save file on any platform. While playing on pc you can only play with others on pc, while playing on switch you can only play with other switch users.

I think everyone should experience it no matter the platform they are on . Such a great game.

I agree. Playing through this new ladder and actually experiencing the game again has been a trip. I think at a certain point, when everyone is geared up with enigma and the goal becomes to farm as fast as possible, we lose sight of the magic. Playing ladder start is a great reminder of it.
