So my brother has a DS and I've been playing it lately and saw that there was a thing about online play. Nintendowifi.com is the site for all of that, but unfortunately Nintendo doesn't have very good instructions and I couldn't figure out how to set it up.

We have a Linksys wireless router. On the back the 4 ethernet ports are being used by desktop pcs, but no wifi connections are made yet (but I still can). Do I need a online game to put in the settings first or is there somewhere in the DS settings (not the game itself) where I can do it?

I'm not sure how it works but according to the Nintendo site you can find peoples "friend id's" and play with them whenever or wherever they are. Could we do battles for fg? :-p

And if you're experienced with the DS online play.... is New Super Mario Bros. and online game? (Marios vs Luigi)

All you have to do to connect is go to wifi settings. Then go to like setting 1 and press search for an access point. When it finds some it'll show some connections. You then pick yours and enter your WEP or just disable it. You now can play on wifi ...

And the New Super Mario Bros. question.. Yes.. You can play wifi and connect to other people by you.

wireless = it does everything by itself no no it isnt. only lan.
